I enjoy working on projects that bring a new perspective to old material. Or even better, bring entirely new and relevant stories to life. After 12 years working with Catharsis Productions, I am both confident and comfortable telling stories that involve physical intimacy. I also enjoy opportunities to explore queering traditional stories and roles. From college campuses, to rowdy crowds in bars, I know how to be heard by an audience. I brings curiosity and generosity to my interpretation of characters. I am a proud Stakeholder in the Back Room Shakespeare Project. |
Abbott, who is skilled in maintaining the Swiss accent, creates a very human Maria, with all the richness that word entails. She is sympathetic, but flawed; intelligent, but glaringly ignorant; driven, but compromised.
